INSULATION
Insulation is one of the most important parts of eyelash extensions.
If the insulation is not done properly, you will damage your clients' natural eyelashes, often permanently.
There are a ton of different ways to isolate, but the main things to keep in mind are:
- Always make sure you see the start and end of the natural lash before placing the extension. A side view is preferable to ensure the base is properly applied and secure.
- Use your hand for support, do not directly lean on the eyelid. This will give you more control and be much more comfortable for the client.
- Check that there are no baby eyelashes hidden behind the isolated eyelash, as this will be very uncomfortable for the client, and as they grow they will pull the extension in an unfavorable direction, and could uproot the natural eyelash.
- Your insulation tweezers should line up with your chosen natural lash.
Good lighting and glasses if necessary, are also essential.
